Position Description
As the Email Marketer you will be responsible for creating, testing and
optimizing all outbound email marketing communications to client consumers in
order to ensure that messages appear consistently across all browser and major
email clients.
We are looking
for a self starter who thrives on challenges and has an eye for detail and
design. In addition to being technical and highly organized, candidates must
be motivated, energetic and creative problem solvers. The environment is
fast-paced and dynamic and appropriate candidates will possess the same attributes.
The candidate must have a strong understanding of web technology and candidates
with prior email marketing experience will be considered first.
This position is
permanent, full-time, and includes a competitive base salary, commission and a comprehensive
benefits package. This position reports directly to the Email Marketing
Manager. This position requires a flexible work schedule–you will work
periodically during weekends, early mornings, and evenings as needed. Work
outside of office hours may occur from home.
Key Accountabilities
- Set up
email messages for deployment including HTML coding of all outbound
marketing emails
- Build
and test all email campaigns to ensure that the creative, copy and links
are correct
- Test
all outbound marketing emails to achieve consistent appearance and
deliverability across major email providers
- Manage
email volume in different areas to maximize deliverability and profit
- Verify and
test appropriate tracking analytics tags
- Assist
in email projects/initiatives as necessary – including database analysis,
list segmentation, and system usability testing
Experience
Requirements
- 1+
years experience developing with HTML
- 2+
years experience running SQL queries
- Substantial
experience and proficiency with Excel spreadsheets
- Proficiency
with UNIX/LINUX and comfortable working on the command line (knowledge of text
based editors like "vi" a plus)
- Experience
with phpMyAdmin
- Ability
to perform in pressure and time sensitive situations
- Highly
organized
- Good
communication skills
- Excellent
time and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
